Presence, Not Perfection
What I'm No Longer Subscribing To
This New Year, I will no longer subscribe to what my Western culture deems as worthy: individualism over community, enoughness measured by my productivity, toomuchness as my middle-aged female self who should shrink, quiet, disappear.
I will see the quick fixes within the wellness industry for exactly what they are: the supplements and skincare promising youth, the programs promising transformation in 30 days, the products selling me back to their version of myself, all at a price. These are all illusions that strip me of my humanity and my divinity.
When I feel myself drifting away, numbing, resubscribing to this old and predictable narrative, I will pause, breathe deep into my solar plexus, and choose to drop into my body and myself over and over and over again and again and again—until this revolutionary new narrative of My Power Is Already Living Within Me is etched into my bones.

Thank you for sharing this post with me, Molly. Presence also feels like a super powerful word to hold.
Well said, Molly! 💛
